Winter Wonderland Shopping

I keep seeing stuff for sale and saying to myself "I could make that!"  But when it comes time to do so I forget... so here is a list of things I saw this morning that I would like to attempt...

A ribbon fashion necklace

Fleece Scarf

Fleece Hat

...and THIS is actually something I did make at the last craft night with my gal pals:
SKULL ORNAMENTS!
These are from MISS BUTLER on Etsy,
but I will be sure to post some pictures of mine.
I actually used the ;)same material for one!

Mermaids

Here are some more Mermaids for inspiration....

(unknown)

Charles Edouard Boutibonne

Why all the mermaids you ask?  I have a project in mind for my bathroom, there's on e bare wall that needs some art and I chose to take it on myself... I'll keep you posted of it's progress.

Thurman Skirt

Take a look at the winner of the Alabama Studio Style Inspiration Challenege!

Description:

Inspired by Alabama Chanin. This is a simple A-line skirt, cut on the bias, from two layers of cotton knit: a putty color over black. I freehand painted a favorite quotation on the skirt, then used the techniques in the Alabama Stitch Book for the reverse applique. I love to combine my handlettering with garment design — an experiment in embracing imperfection (especially when I sneezed on the skirt moments before taking the photos. Did you hear me screaming?).

“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive and then go do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” Howard Thurman

Now this is something I'd like to try someday! Truely amazing!  Wonderful job lettergirl!

Spice it up!

I'm searching for ideas to SPICE up my blog.  Maybe a feature of the week, or month or.... ah hell I don't know but something.  Something to get me talking, blogging, writing, whatever it is about craftering, sewing, life... So give me your thoughts while I sit here drinking my Saturday  morning coffee!

Rip off Rue de Vamp Design

I saw their post here http://ruedevampdesigns.blogspot.com/2010/02/anthropologie-knock-off-ideas.html right after getting an email from Anthropologie with THIS top in it:

I am in LOVE with this top and don't want to spend $78 on it. So I must find a pattern or make one myself....

Hair Clip

I wore this awesome clip today that I got at Ross for a few bucks....

And I'm totally going to use this as inspiration to make some of my own, except from material I already have so the vinyl will be black as well as the feathers! I'll post when I get to working on them!
